Where can I get a drink after a late Sundance screening?

An evening screening in Boulder lets out around the hour most rooms stop pouring. In Longmont, a quick 25 minutes north, Quarters Bar + Arcade at 475 Main St. runs to around midnight Friday and Saturday and Küper Wine Bar closes at 10pm. RTD's BOLT bus runs back from Boulder until roughly 1:26am.

An evening screening in Boulder lets out around the hour a lot of rooms stop pouring. Here is what is published, a quick 25 minutes north in Longmont.

Published normal hours

WhereNormal closing time
Küper Wine Bar, 704 Main St.9pm Wed–Thu, 10pm Fri–Sat, 7pm Sun. Closed Mon–Tue.
Quarters Bar + Arcade, 475 Main St.around midnight Fri–Sat, around 10pm Mon–Thu and Sun. 21+ after 9pm Fri–Sat. No food.

Quarters publishes its times with an explicit “-ish”, which we have kept as published.

What this means for a 9pm screening

An evening film in Boulder lets out at roughly the hour Küper normally closes. On its published normal hours, a post-screening glass in Longmont is not realistic on a weekday — Quarters on a Friday or Saturday is the only listing that plausibly clears it, and it does not serve food.

Getting back to Longmont

RTD’s BOLT bus runs between the two downtowns until roughly 1:26am Monday to Friday, 1:14am Saturday and 12:21am Sunday. So if you drink in Boulder after a screening, you can still get back to Longmont without driving.

Before you set out

These are published normal hours, and festival week will not run like a normal January. Ring ahead for last call. If you want one of Küper’s tasting sessions, book it through its Sundance page rather than turning up — the sessions are capped and festival week is the busiest the town will be all year.
